This call was made by Julius Nakiyi, a former Parliamentary contestant for Budadiri East County in Sironko District.
Nakiyi also says that parents should also take children to schools in their localities. He says many parents out of pressure prefer taking their children to expensive urban schools, a vice which should be discouraged. Being a product of rural schools, Nakiyi supporting local schools is another way of boosting the local economy.
He sounded the call at a graduation party for top class pupils of Seeds of Hope Nursery and Primary School in Busulani Sub County, Sironko District.
Dadiri Gidudu, the director, Seeds of Hope Nursery and Primary School, urged parents to mentor their children and support them during the long holiday.
