A
boozing competition has left a 26-year-old man dead in Namisindwa District.
The deceased has been identified as Wamoka
Kusuya, a resident of Bushandu village, Bunambale parish, Tsekululu Sub County
in Namisindwa District.
A resident of Bushandu village who preferred
anonymity says an alcohol drinking competition was organized by a local
businessman only identified as Zeki in Busulwa trading centre.
The resident explains that Zeki had staked
10,0000 shillings for anyone who could consume alcohol in record time.
This attracted Kiloton Kutosi aged 25, Kusuya
Wamoka aged 26 and one only identified as Wamutu aged 37. After consuming five
bottles of alcohol, Wamoka collapsed and was taken to Magale Health Centre III but
died on the way.

Resident District Commissioner confirms the incident and says there is heavy
police deployment after getting information that Wamomka’s relatives were
planning to attack Zeki’s home.
