The suspect has been identified as James Mboizi a resident of Kaderuna 1 village, Kaderuna parish, Kaderuna Sub County in Budaka District.
Ndegemo Kamuyati a mother to the victim aged 9 says she sent her daughter to fetch water at a nearby borehole on Sunday. Kamuyati says that on her way, Mboizi convinced her daughter and took her to his house and defiled her.
Her daughter however took long to return and she decided to follow up. She got her daughter being defiled by Mboizi. Kamuyati made an alarm attracting people who arrested Mboizi and took him to Police.
Immaculate Alaso the Bukedi North Police Spokesman has confirmed the incident saying the suspect faces charges of aggravated defilement.
