1766 candidates in Namisindwa District to sit UACE eaxams.

1766 candidates in Namisindwa District will sit for this year’s Uganda Certificate of Education examinations.


The students started their examinations today with briefing as required by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB). They will start writing examinations on Monday next week.


William Lusayi the Namisindwa District Inspector of Schools says that out of the 1766 candidates, 961(54%) are male while 805(46%) are female. Lusayi says that the the candidates will take their examinations at seven centres in 14 secondary schools. Without providing statistics, Lusayi says that some candidates will miss the examinations due to the biting economic conditions and pregnancies.


Emma Bwayo the Namisindwa District Male Youth Councilor has asked the students to strive to lift the academic trajectory of the District.


In Mbale City, senior four candidates of St. Mary’s Secondary School like Immaculate Chepkrui and Joachim Onyango are optimistic of success in the final examinations. The students attribute their determination to continued assessments by the teachers.
