A parent of two minors who were allegedly defiled by an unknown commercial motorcycle (Boda Boda) rider in Mbale City is seeking justice after reportedly failing to raise money to facilitate the Police.

The parent is Peter Kangaaba a resident of Indian Quarters in Industrial City Division.

Kangaaba says that on Friday last week two daughters; one aged 9 and the other 10, all studying at Nabuyonga Primary School were defiled by a boda boda rider who was taking them back home in Malare village at around 8pm. Kangaaba says the rider turned against the children at a maize garden defiled them and later took off. He says the children raised an alarm and were picked up by some good Samaritans who took them home.

He says that he reported the matter to Mbale Central Police Station and since the rider was reportedly operating from Sleeping Baby Boda Boda stage, the police could review the CCTV cameras and help in identifying the culprit. But Kangaaba accuses the police of asking for money in order to pursue the matter.

Rogers Taitika the Elgon Region Police Spokesman said he had not received such information but promised to follow up the matter.
