Manafwa, Namisindwa Schools Attribute UCE Success to Cooperation

School administrators in Manafwa and Namisindwa Districts have attributed the success in the Uganda Certificate of Education results to cooperation among teachers, parents and the students.


Brian Bwayo the assistant director of studies at Destiny High School in Manafwa District, says that all the 93 students who sat for examinations under the new curriculum scored result one, an indication that they all passed.

Fred Wamono, the head teacher St. Edwards Secondary school in Manafwa Town council, says they had 85 candidates of which 45 were female and 40 male. Wamono says that 11 students had with A and B on average, an indicator that most of them qualify for advanced level.

At Bubulo Senior Secondary School, a government aided school in Manafwa Town council, out of the 137 candidates, 70 got B with the rest getting C in the respective subjects.  

Chris Matembu Wataka the Chairperson PTA Bubulo Secondary School commended the school administration for the good performance urging parents to cooperate and support development of the school.

At Mandela Comprehensive High school in Lwakhakha Town council, Namisindwa District, all the 40 students passed with four students having A and B in the respective subjects. Annete Namirembe the school headtheacher attributed the good performance to the training they attained with regard to the new curriculum.
