The
counting of people has been suspended in Nyondo Sub County in Mbale District
following the theft of all the gadgets being used in the enumeration exercise.
Unknown thugs reportedly stormed the home of Sharon
Mutuma, an enumerator in Bufumbo village, Bufukhula parish and stole the
gadgets.
Mbale Resident District Commissioner Asumin Nasike says
the thugs went away with a tablet and other items like phones and keys.
According to Nasike, the enumerator Sharon Mutuma woke up and found her house
had been broken into. She reported the matter to Nabumali Police Post.
Nasike says that they are doing all it takes to recover
the stolen items and apprehend the culprits behind the theft.
