The body of the late Constitutional Court Judge Kenneth Kakuru is expected to arrive at Entebbe Airport at midnight, according to the Judiciary.

Justice Kakuru succumbed to cancer at the Agha Khan hospital in Nairobi, Kenya on Tuesday Morning. According to a statement issued by the judiciary, upon arrival, Justice Kakuru's body will be handed over to A Plus Funeral Home. A special court session will be held for the deceased Judge at the judiciary headquarters tomorrow at 2 pm in celebration of his life.

On Friday, March 10th, 2023 a funeral service will take place at All Saints Cathedrals, Nakasero at 9 am, and thereafter, the body shall depart for Rwembishuri, Mbarara for an overnight vigil followed by another funeral service at St. James Cathedral Ruhaaro at 9 am and burial at 4 pm.

Born on November 11th, 1958, Justice Kakuru will be remembered for his dissenting judgment in the famous Togikwatako case in which several bodies and individuals challenged the removal of the age limits following the amendment of Article 102 of the 1995 constitution.
