Former Lutseshe County Member of Parliament in Bududa District Godfrey
Watenga Nabutanyi is set to officially marry his two wives in a traditional ceremony.
Nabutanyi’s two wives
are Nanzala Beatrice and Nekesa Christine. According to Nabutanyi, he has lived
with the two women for the last 17 years and now is the time to legalize the
marriage.
He says that the two
women have lived in harmony and under one roof but only separated by beds. Nabutanyi
says the in-laws from the two sides are happy and can’t wait for Saturday when
the traditional marriage will be held. He advises men to borrow a leaf from his
polygamous life saying he has no regrets over the decision. The marriage
ceremony will take place this Saturday in Bududa District.
