A motor accident at Nalugugu trading centre in Bukise Sub County Sironko District has claimed two lives.
Moses Mutabingwa the Elgon Region Traffic Officer identifies the deceased as Carol Nambozo aged 25 and a resident of Kikuwe village, Bukise Sub County and John Magombe, 42 years old and a resident of Busembatia town council.
According to Mutabingwa motor vehicle registration number UBA 566J Isuzu Justin driven by unidentified person hit a boda boda bajaja boxer rider with motorcycle number UFC 747K. The Isuzu truck was heading to Sironko while the rider was heading to Bulambuli.
The truck also knocked a pedestrian John Magombe, overturned and injured the occupants who are receiving treatment at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital. Police blames the accident on reckless driving.
