Florence Nambozo Mayoga the Sironko District Women Member of Parliament insists she is still a member of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party.
Nambozo who was crosschecking her details in the ongoing NRM member renewal and registration exercise, said that she remains part of the NRM party.
Nambozo says that following the poorly managed party primaries in 2020, she decided to stand as independent and won the NRM flag bearer, Asha Nabulo Mafabi. She describes allegations that she is no longer an NRM member as baseless and should be treated with the utmost contempt they deserve.
Nambozo has already announced her intention to take on Hajji Suleiman Lumolo Mafabi for the position of NRM Chairperson, Sironko District.
