Patrick Waniale has been returned as the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party chairperson for Sironko District.
Waniale was this evening declared winner with 290 votes against John Dadiri Gidudu’s 183 votes. The election was generally peaceful, free and fair. Shortly after being announced winner, Waniale promised to continue strengthening the party structures in Sironko District.
John Dadiri Gidudu conceded defeat and promised to work with Waniale for the betterment of the party.
In another election, Meris Mudega was unopposed for the party position of vice chairperson Sironko.
