President Yoweri Museveni has described the late Dr. Hassan Wasswa Galiwango as a great leader whose work ethic should be emulated.

In a speech read by Vice President Maj(rtd) Jessica Alupo at Dr. Galiwango’s funeral at Nakaloke grounds in Northern City Division in Mbale City today, Museveni said Galiwango diligently served the National Resistance Movement party and government and he leaves behind a great legacy.

John Baptist Nambeshe the Opposition Chief Whip urged government to improve on health service delivery saying many government officials were dying from abroad, something he attributed to poor health services in Uganda.

Isaiah Ssasaga Wanzira the Budadiri West Member of Parliament said Galiwango helped the needy and championed the education cause in Bugisu Sub-region. Galiwango was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Jami village in Budaka District.

Until his demise Dr Galiwango was Uganda’s High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya and Seychelles and he died yesterday in Kenya’s Capital City Nairobi. Galiwango also served as the NRMs Director of Finance and Administration for 11 years.
