Musibikha, an accountant and a lawyer has joined the Manafwa District Woman Parliamentary
race.
Musibikha a member of the ruling
National Resistance Movement seeks to unseat Dr. Mary Goretti Kitutu, the
incumbent and former Karamoja Minister. Musibikha says that her candidature is
aimed at bridging the gap between the people of Manafwa and the leadership of the
Woman Member of Parliament.
According to Musibikha, her
accounting background will enable her support and share knowledge with the community
on proper book keeping in businesses and development groups. She also says that
being a lawyer, she will ably carry out her legislative role once elected.
She also called for a peaceful
electoral process saying that despite political differences, there is life
beyond elections.
During the launch of rehabilitation
works on the 10.7kilometre Butiru-Makenya-Tororo road in Bukhadala Sub County
recently, Manafwa District Woman legislator Dr. Mary Goretti Kitutu asked
residents to entrust her with another term since she had lobbied for several
development projects.
