St. Joseph Buyaga from Bulambuli District are the Bugisu Region Secondary School boy’s football champions.
This is after they secured a 1-0 victory over Nkoma Secondary School in tense final played at Butiru Model playground in Manafwa District on Monday.
The competition, hosted by Butiru Christian Comprehensive Secondary School, brought together 26 boys’ teams Mbale City, Mbale District, Manafwa, Bududa, Sironko, and Bulambuli.
As a result, St. Joseph Buyaga, Nkoma Secondary School and Mbale Progressive will represent Bugisu region at the national championship in Lira City.
In the girls’ football category, Bugisu High School emerged champions after defeating Bubiita Seed School 1–0. Both finalists will represent Bugisu region at the national games in Mukono.
