Students in Sironko District have been asked to promote a spirit of discipline and love in a bid to develop the country.
This call was made by Denis Ephraim Balwaniregha the Sironko Resident District Commissioner while passing out over 400 secondary school students who underwent a one week training on patriotism at Bugunzu Seed S.S grounds in Bugusege town council. The students were drawn from Nambulu S.S, Bugambi S.S, Nalusala Seed S.S and Bugunzu Seed S.S.
Following the training, Balwaniregha asked the students to exhibit a high sense of discipline and love one another.
Moses Magomu the LCIII Chairperson for Bugusege town council said that the patriotism training should help the students to live exemplary lives.
Patrick Wezabusa the head teacher Bugunzu Seed secondary school says that ever since government outlawed corporal punishment, they are now using patriotism training to positively improve the mind-set of the students.
