Pokot warriors have shot dead four livestock traders from Mbale city in Amudat
district.
The gruesome murder occurred on Sunday at around
3:30 pm after the unknown warriors with bows and arrows stopped a Toyota
Harrier Reg. No. UBP 601Q and shot dead all four occupants along Lemusui
Road within Akonguyo village, Amudat Sub County.
The deceased are, Umaru Binyota,34, the proprietor
of Namunsi Meat Supply butcheries, Umaru Walime,40, Aramathan Boy,25, and Abasi
Mubaje,28, all residents of Mbale City.

Spokesperson confirmed the incident stating that a team of detectives visited
the scene together with a canine and collected tangible evidence.
He says that the detectives also recorded
witness statements to support the investigation process. He said the bodies
have been conveyed to Amudat Hospital mortuary for postmortem waiting to be
collected by the relatives. Longole says the motive the murder is yet to
be established.
